MCM, the German luxury house, has unveiled its Fall Winter 2024 collection, themed “Munich to Mars.” The collection takes inspiration from the cultural heritage of Munich, where MCM’s design codes were first established, and propels them into future. Creative Director Katie Chung has designed this collection, which was revealed at the historic Palazzo Serbelloni in Milan. Transforming the venue with symbolic elements of Earth and Mars, MCM created a setting that offered attendees a glimpse into a narrative of two worlds interconnected through design.
Reinventing styles and reinterpreting heritage codes, MCM presents a fresh perspective on luxury with key pieces highlighted. Among these standout items are the exclusive Black Label line and the new ‘it shapes‘ Diamante 3D and Diamante Soft. Furthermore, the collection marks a significant step towards sustainability with the introduction of the MIRUM® capsule, which features sustainable, plant-based leather alternatives. This commitment is complemented by the exploration of new materials in ready-to-wear, such as Laurel Denim Jacquard and Monogram Re-Nylon, alongside innovative footwear styles like the Silver Swarovski Ballerinas and Monogrammed Moccasins.
In addition to fashion, MCM introduces new ventures in accessories and fragrance, through the partnership with Marcolin that brings a gender-neutral eyewear collection to the forefront, featuring designs that will be available through an innovative virtual try-on technology called Deepixel. Alongside, the launch of the MCM Crush fragrance in collaboration with Inter Parfums, Inc, adds an enchanting layer to the collection. Furthermore, the brand teases a sustainable travel lifestyle brand collaboration with Harper Collective, co-founded by Jaden Smith and Sebastian Manes. This collaboration pioneers eco-conscious luxury with three distinct suitcase silhouettes.
