It’s here that she meets Robert, a keen and observant club employee played by Ricky Martin, together challenging the status quo among the affluent and aloof.

Ricky Martin steps into a new role as Robert in ‘Palm Royale,’ marking his notable return to television since his role in ‘The Assassination of Gianni Versace’ by Ryan Murphy on FX. This comedy series boasts an impressive ensemble including Kristen Wiig, Alison Janney, Laura Dern, Kaia Gerber, Bruce Dern, and Carol Burnett, who will grace the show with “extra special guest” appearances.

‘Palm Royale’ is loosely inspired by the novel ‘Mr. and Mrs. American Pie’ by Juliet McDaniel and explores the lengths to which individuals will go to breach the divide between the wealthy and the less fortunate. The series is a reflection on the sacrifices one is willing to make to secure a spot among the elite, set in the pivotal year of 1969. It poses the enduring question, “How much of yourself are you willing to sacrifice to get what someone else has?”

The narrative follows Maxine’s quest to infiltrate the world of the wealthy, posing critical questions about identity, belonging, and the true cost of ambition.
