Adidas Originals is launching a global campaign to celebrate the past, present, and future of its iconic SL 72 sneaker silhouette. Originally introduced in 1972, the SL 72 quickly became a sensation in the running community thanks to its lightweight design, with the “SL” standing for “Super Light.”

This new campaign shows two updated versions of the classic SL series: the SL72 RS in a dynamic mix of blue, white, and red for men and the SL 72 OG W in a fresh green, white, and yellow colorway for women. Both versions are takes on the brand’s revered T-toe silhouette, reimagined for today’s market. The campaign, captured by Kenny Germé and styled by Cece Liu, aims to envoce the nostalgic charm of vintage running catalogs. It combines bold colors and simple, impactful designs.
Adidas Originals is a lifestyle brand that leans heavily on Adidas’s heritage in sports to inspire its collections. Since its inception in 2001, it has been blending athletic performance with fashion-forward design, guided by the iconic Trefoil logo introduced in 1972. The SL 72 returns on 28th March on adidas.com.
