The Off-White™ Fall Winter 2024 collection titled “BLACK BY POPULAR DEMAND” presents a declaration of identity, creativity, and cultural interplay, all uniquely Ibrahim Kamara. In this highly personal collection, Kamara pays homage to the legacy of Virgil Abloh, the visionary behind the Off-White™ brand, while charting his own course influenced by his diverse background from Sierra Leone to London, and now onto the global stage. This collection is a dialogue between the traditions of Japan and the pervasive influence of Americana, exploring the deep impact of Black culture on global music and style, from jazz to hip hop.
Designed in Milan and sparked by a revelation in Japan, “BLACK BY POPULAR DEMAND” emerges as a cultural statement, focusing on personal expression and the expansive influence of Black culture across the globe. The presentation is joyful and playful, with a fashion show set on a giant Ludo game board. Kamara’s approach to menswear and womenswear is unified by a shared vision yet articulated through diverse expressions.

For women, the collection emphasizes empowerment and seduction through draping, vibrant colors, and bold prints, blending traditional motifs with contemporary flair. Men’s designs offer a softened, spacious interpretation of the ’90s, incorporating playful details and a partnership with Wilson that brings a twist to sportswear accessories. Kamara’s collection is also about movement, energy, and a playful reinterpretation of luxury fashion. The exploration of textures and silhouettes are a part of it, with the usage of faux furs, metallic fabrics, and an adventurous approach to color and pattern mixing.
