Burberry just revealed the Burberry Classics collection that focuses on the house’s famous pieces, but now approached with sustainability and design in mind. By reimagining wardrobe staples, this line elevates essential styles with the Burberry Check, now presented in novel sand and lichen colorways, alongside the Equestrian Knight Design. These iconic elements are integrated into a range of garments, from swimwear and nylon jackets to cotton twill shirt dresses and tailored poplin shirts.
The Burberry Classics collection commits to sustainability through its use of materials, with the majority of the clothing containing at least 70 percent organic or 50 percent recycled materials. This initiative is part of the larger ReBurberry programme, a collective of initiatives that are commited to responsibility and circularity.
In addition to its sustainable materials, Burberry Classics introduces a range of circular services aimed at extending the lifespan of its products. These services, including refreshing, repairing, and upcycling, as well as rental and resale initiatives in partnership with My Wardrobe HQ and Vestiaire Collective, show a comprehensive approach to circularity.
The campaign features Iris Law and Quinn Kirwan, shot in London under the creative direction of Daniel Lee. The Burberry Classics collection is set to be available in-store and online from March 2024.
