Fashion house Ungaro has unveiled its Fall Winter 2024 collection, titled “Reminiscence,”on March 4th, during the ongoing Paris Fashion Week. The collection, draws inspiration from a deeply personal and enduring fascination with roses, an element that has consistently captured the designer Kobi Halperin‘s imagination. This passion, rooted in a lifetime of admiration for the flower’s emotional and aesthetic resonance, finds a new expression in the latest collection. The inspiration evolved significantly upon encountering Salvador Dalí’s “Meditative Rose,” which sparked the innovative concept of blending the timeless beauty of roses with the vibrant culture of Spain, envisioning these flowers amidst the dynamic scenes of flamenco dancers and matadors.

This vision gained additional depth through the examination of John Bagnold Burgess’s work. For three decades, Burgess immersed himself in the Spanish community, capturing the essence of its people through his art. Characterized by the celebration of mid-century Spanish aesthetics, the collection integrates elements of strength and allure across luxurious textiles such as lace, velvet, and striking floral prints. These materials are chosen for their ability to convey the collection’s overarching themes, fusing the historical and cultural depth of Spain with the timeless beauty of the rose.
In creating the ‘Reminiscence‘ collection, Halperin has blended together the grandeur and elegance that characterize the Ungaro brand with the symbolic and inestimable value of the rose.
