The collaboration between Kengo Kuma and ASICS has launched the Archisite ORU sneaker for 2024. Three years after their previous designs, Kuma brings his architectural brilliance back to ASICS, offering a piece of wearable art.
The Kengo Kuma x ASICS Archisite ORU sneaker has a distinctive translucent overlay, combined with bungee ties and a stitched ASICS logo, this time lacking the wooden midsoles of its predecessor. Drawing inspiration from his first ASICS creation, the MetaRide AMU, Kuma revisits the woven concept that drew acclaim for its unique use of synthetic strips mimicking Japanese bamboo knitting, or yatara ami.

Beyond its visual appeal, the sneaker is a marvel of sustainable construction, featuring the FUJI LITE™ 2 sole and FF BLAST midsole for a lightweight and comfortable fit. This design not only prioritizes environmental responsibility but also ensures that the sneaker is versatile enough to transition from outdoor adventures to urban life.
