Last night, the residence of the Italian Ambassador in Belgrade transformed into a vibrant runway for the “United Colors of Benetton” fashion show. The event, captured through the lens of Borislav Utjesinovic exclusively for DSCENE Magazine, was part of “IFIB 2024 – Italian Fashion in Belgrade,” a festival dedicated to elevating Italian fashion in Serbia.
Spring Summer 2024
Organized by Fabrika agency, this event was the second installment of the IFIB initiative, where Benetton unveiled its Spring Summer 2024 collection. Known for their rich legacy of blending vivid colors and bold patterns, the collection included everything from modern basics to playful designs featuring floral and fruity motifs. Models spanning generations walked the runway, representing the brand’s values of inclusivity, sustainability, and diversity.
Beyond fashion, the evening was a bustling social event, attracting a host of dignitaries, including numerous ambassadors and prominent Serbian celebrities.
In addition to the runway show, the venue also hosted an engaging exhibition dedicated to Benetton’s most influential advertising campaigns, created by Oliviero Toscani. These campaigns, known for their powerful social commentary, have left a lasting mark on the fashion and marketing industries.
Luca Gori, the Italian Ambassador to Serbia, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, noting, “The IFIB initiative is a fabulous platform for promoting Italian fashion in Serbia, and presenting Benetton’s show here is a privilege both for us and for the Serbian audience.” He also highlighted the event’s significance as part of the “Birčaninova@100” celebration, commemorating a century since the foundation stone of the Italian embassy was laid.
With exclusive backstage access, DSCENE Magazine provides an intimate look at the Benetton show, capturing the essence of a brand that continues to inspire and lead with its innovative approach to fashion and social responsibility.
