Blackpink member Rosé takes the cover of Dazed Korea Magazine‘s Spring 2024 edition lensed by fashion photographer Go Wontae. In charge of fashion direction was Yun Aeri, with art direction from Song Yuli, and set design by Lee Nakyug. Beauty is work of hair stylist Lee Seonyeong, makeup artist Lee Myungsun, and manicurist Park Eunkyung. For the cover story Dazed Korea collaborated with Luxury luggage brand Rimowa. K-pop superstar became Rimowa’s global ambassador back in September of last year. She was the face of the brand’s Fall Winter 2023.24 ‘Never Still 4’ campaign alongside Lewis Hamilton and Kylian Mbappé.
In other news Blackpink, the globally celebrated K-pop quartet, continues to capture hearts and break records, underscoring their immense popularity and impact on the music scene. On April 7th, the group reached a new height as their collaboration with Selena Gomez, “Ice Cream,” surpassed 900 million views on YouTube. This achievement highlights the song’s wide-reaching appeal and also distinguishes it as their sixth official group music video to cross this impressive viewership number, joining other hits such as “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” “Kill This Love,” “BOOMBAYAH,” “As If It’s Your Last,” and “How You Like That.”
“Ice Cream” was released on August 28, 2020, captivating fans worldwide with its vibrant visuals and catchy tune. Its path to 900 million views, completed in just over three years, seven months, and nine days, reflects Blackpink’s strong global fanbase and their talent for making popular music.
On Spotify, the leading music streaming service, Blackpink has reached another landmark. Their track “Kill This Love” has now gathered over 800 million streams, establishing them as the only K-pop female act to have two songs surpass this streaming figure. Their track “How You Like That” has achieved even greater success, surpassing 1 billion streams.
This latest success on Spotify places Blackpink alongside the international pop group Fifth Harmony, with both acts having two songs each exceeding 800 million streams. For Blackpink, the tracks making this record are “How You Like That” and “Kill This Love,” while Fifth Harmony achieved this with “Worth It” and “Work from Home.”
