Burberry’s Curated Edits series, following the Summer 2024 collection, under the creative direction of Daniel Lee, centers around an innovative reinterpretation of the classic Burberry trench coat. Made from changeant cotton twill that harks back to the 1940s and paired with the traditional water-resistant gabardine, these coats are a modern take on a classic piece. With contrasting yarns and lined with the iconic Burberry Check, these trench coats feature modern updates such as detachable belts, exaggerated epaulettes, and raglan sleeves.
The accessories in the collection are just as thoughtfully curated, the Rocking Horse bag is a standout, designed to transition from a shoulder to a cross-body style. It, along with the Shield messenger and Knight bag, draws inspiration from the Equestrian Knight Design that dates back to around 1901.
In ready-to-wear, Burberry puts a fresh spin on its archetypal patterns with new prints and configurations. This collection incorporates the classic check in shades of hunter, white, black, and Knight Blue across a range of garments including T-shirts, skirts, and polo shirts. Unique to this season are crystal-embellished motifs of summer fruits and hardware-inspired artwork that decorates lightweight shirts and shorts.
Footwear and jewelry round out the collection with the new Bay sandals and Box sneakers that offer both refined and casual choices, crafted in Italy from the finest leather and also featuring the Burberry Equestrian Knight Design. Meanwhile, the jewelry line continues the equestrian theme with shield-shaped earrings and spike-chain necklaces set with an array of gemstones, including citrine and onyx, which accentuate the luxurious spirit of the collection.
