In her heartfelt introduction to her role at Chloé, the new creative head Chemena Kamali expresses a strong desire to capture the essence of the “Chloé woman”—a character she both feels deeply aligned with and loves. Inspired by pivotal moments in the house’s history, particularly Karl Lagerfeld’s influential 1970s collections, she aims to bring a sense of return and homage to these defining eras. This retrospective influence is seen as a way to ground future creations, linking the new with the traditions of the past.

The Chloé, as a brand, is rooted in a feminine perspective—immediate, essential, real, and spirited. It’s a viewpoint that doesn’t seek to transform but to empower women to be themselves and to embrace life’s offerings. The designer’s mission is articulated clearly: to engage directly with women’s desires for authentic, personal clothing that mixes fluidity with structure, movement with a touch of “un-doneness.” Her designs for the Fall 2024 Collection follow this idea, where the interplay of silhouette and fabric speaks directly to a woman’s sense of self and style, positioned as a prologue to her March showcase.
Chemena highlights key elements that resonate with Chloé’s DNA—functional yet stylish outerwear, emblematic capes, flowing garments, signature blouses, precise tailoring, iconic denim, and cozy knitwear. Accessories also receive a fresh interpretation, with a nod to 70s aesthetics through boots, clogs, and wedges, alongside bags crafted from naturally tanned leather that celebrate imperfection and age with grace. The jewelry designs whimsically recall the house’s iconic motifs, such as pineapples, horses, and bananas.
