Fashion brand H&M introduces its Summer 2024 collection, a vibrant fusion of bold confidence and effortless shapes, set to capture the essence of summer days and sultry nights. Available from May 16 in selected stores worldwide and online, the collection draws inspiration from the warmth and rich culture of Brazil, featuring eye-catching modern kaftans, sun dresses, and matching sets.
The women’s lineup is an electrifying showcase of free-flowing silhouettes that embody the spirit of Brazilian Modernism. With a focus on graphic, vivid designs, the collection features contrasting trims, statement-making prints, and a sophisticated color palette of black, white, beige, greige, red, and green accents ranging from moss to pistachio. Key highlights include knitted kaftans with a raffia effect, crochet pieces, voluminous maxi dresses, and tiered mini dresses that exude a sense of powerful confidence mixed with sensuality.
The swimwear range is equally striking, dominated by bandeau pieces, crochet knit bikinis, and triangle tops adorned with tie-up details. The accessories complement the bold clothing choices with chunky gold-tone jewelry, seashell and coral-inspired earrings and necklaces, raffia hats and bags, and braided slip-ons, all designed to enhance the festive, summery vibe.
The H&M Summer 2024 menswear collection takes a more refined approach, blending retro summer glamour with modern fits. Highlighting shiny textures, lustrous jacquards, and openwork knits, the collection includes laidback white tuxedos, subtly textured short-sleeve shirts, and tailored trousers in a mainly neutral palette with touches of burgundy for added elegance.
The accompanying campaign, shot in Brazil by renowned photographer Rafael Pavarotti and featuring top models Vittoria Ceretti, Anok Yai, and Devyn Garcia, captures the collection’s dynamic essence. Pavarotti describes the shoot as a joyous celebration of Brazil’s natural beauty, essential for bringing the collection’s energetic spirit to life.
Eliana Masgalos, Concept Designer at H&M, and Ross Lydon, Head of Design for Menswear, both emphasize the collection’s blend of drama and sophistication, designed to make a bold statement about confidence and sensuality in summer fashion.
