Chinese actor Song Weilong has been named the newest brand ambassador for Gucci, joining a distinguished lineup that includes celebrities like Ni Ni and Xiao Zhan. Known for his compelling performances in popular Chinese dramas such as “Find Yourself” and “Love the Way You Are”, Weilong has positioned himself in the entertainment industry, earning critical acclaim including the Best New Actor Award at the 2019 China Movie Channel Media Awards. His collaboration with Gucci kicked off with a prominent feature in the brand’s 520 Valentine’s Day campaign, under the creative direction of Sabato De Sarno.

This partnership comes as no surprise for the Song, as he has a history of being a fashion star. His portfolio spans several high-profile international brands, showing his considerable appeal and influence. Notably, he has been associated with Burberry, becoming their spokesperson for Burberry Beauty in August 2020 and later a brand ambassador following his participation in the Trench Coat advertising campaign. Additionally, Emporio Armani has named him the brand spokesperson for Men’s Watches in 2020 and later expanding his role to include Men’s Watches and Accessories by 2022. Furthermore, in a historic move, Japanese luxury jewelry brand Mikimoto appointed Song as their first male Global Brand Ambassador in 2022.
