This spring, Supreme has collaborated with Clarks Originals to create a custom version of the iconic Wallabee shoe. This partnership is a continuation of Supreme’s ongoing relationship with Clarks Originals, echoing a similar collaboration from the previous year. However, this year’s design introduces a significant change by incorporating patent leather into the shoe’s construction, differing from the traditional suede typically used in their Wallabees.
The custom Wallabee features a patent leather upper, a leather lining, and maintains the classic natural crepe sole. This design comes in three distinct colorways: a deep green with matching green shoelaces, a nude version that aligns closely with the color of the crepe soles, and an all-black model from upper to outsole. Each shoe has co-branded insoles featuring the logos of both Supreme and Clarks Originals, as well as dual-branded lace tags.
Clarks began nearly 200 years ago in 1825 in Street, Somerset, England, when brothers Cyrus and James Clark crafted a slipper from sheepskin offcuts. This initial creation laid the foundation for a legacy of quality and pioneering design. Clarks explores the boundaries of footwear technology and style, from creating the world’s first foot-shaped shoe to collaborating with cultural icons, ensuring their offerings are as classic as they are revolutionary.
These special edition shoes will be released globally, with availability starting on the Supreme website on May 23 at 11 a.m. EST in the United States, and on May 25 in Asia. Take a closer look at the shoe in the Gallery below:
