In her Spring-Summer 2025 Pre-Collection, Victoria Beckham continues to explore the dressing ritual, focusing on the gestures and intimate settings that make this daily routine a form of personal expression. Building on concepts first introduced in her Runway Collection, Beckham extends this idea to the occasion wardrobe, emphasizing the effortless elegance intrinsic to her brand. This collection celebrates the intricate construction of clothes that are easy to wear, transforming the act of dressing into a ceremonial experience.

The collection’s centerpiece is the grain de poudre tuxedo, epitomizing the black-tie aesthetic of ‘the handsome woman.’ This tuxedo features a fitted silhouette with square shoulders and satin shawl lapels, paired with low-cut, straight-leg trousers that sport an extended satin waistband. The shawl lapel motif is also present in a floor-length grey wool coat. Adaptations of the gentleman’s smoking jacket appear in oversized tailored volumes, softly belted at the waist, and paired with voluminous double-pleat trousers. A standout piece is the tuxedo combinaison, a combination of high-waisted satin-striped trousers and a brassiere, redefining the dinner suit for women.

Lingerie-inspired elements highlight the layers and acts of the dressing ritual. Dresses in boudoir blush and jade hues are geometrically paneled to create flattering forms, stitched together from ruffled nylon taffeta reminiscent of bloomers. These fragment dresses evoke the ambiance of boudoirs, with trompe l’oeil-draped cocktail dresses and ankle-length pieces featuring photo-realistic prints of tulip bouquets on satin sheets. The collection also includes ankle-length dresses with deconstructed, magnified bustiers, further emphasizing the lingerie influence.

The transition from nude to dressed is explored through fragment dresses featuring nips and twists along the hip, suggesting the act of draping a towel or adjusting a skirt. This concept extends to knitted roll-neck dresses with interlaced panels and jumpers with upstanding necklines, echoing the gesture of holding a garment to oneself. Fine jersey dresses with contrast-colored cuts twist on the body, capturing the movement of checking one’s reflection from behind.

Eveningwear elegance is infused into daywear, exemplified by knee-length lace slip dresses, floor-length satin dresses with lace inserts, and black floor-length lace dresses with tuxedo-esque padded shoulders and sequin applications. This blend of glamour and practicality extends to workwear, with cotton and nylon blousons, a quilted Japanese denim jacket-and-culotte suit, and a military leather skirt-suit. These pieces embody Victoria Beckham’s vision of integrating evening sophistication into daywear.

Accessories complement the collection, with aged resin bracelets, leather cage evening sandals, and round-toe leather loafer heels. The B-Buckle Bag is reimagined in various sizes and materials, including black, fawn, and peppermint grained leather, as well as yellow, brown, and brick-colored croc-embossed leather. New iterations, such as the Cufflink Bag and the Halfmoon Bag, feature cufflink elements, while the Victoria Bag showcases new colorways and designs. The Vanity Bag, available in black canvas and the new infinity B Monogram canvas, rounds out the collection, embodying the ritual of dressing central to the season’s theme.
