Racer Worldwide achieved a significant milestone by presenting its Fall/Winter 2024 collection, “Core Memory,” during Menswear Paris Fashion Week. The collection, featuring 37 unique looks, includes both ready-to-wear pieces and show-styles, handcrafted in Racer’s Tallinn studio. Guided by creative director Mihhail Zigadlo, this collection marks a notable collaboration with guest creative director Anna Himma, former creative director for Tommy Cash.
The “Core Memory” collection is styled by Natacha Voranger and draws its aesthetic inspiration from the formative years of 2005 to 2015. It offers a nostalgic yet poignant view from within the vacuum of Eastern Europe, where daily life and surroundings contrasted sharply with the view opened up by the internet into Western and global culture. This juxtaposition is vividly reflected in the collection’s designs, creating a bridge between past memories and contemporary fashion.
A highlight of the show was the involvement of renowned influencers @kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk___kkkk and @sashadidntwakeup. These creative minds contributed to an exclusive capsule collection and served as the faces of “Core Memory.” Their influence added a contemporary edge to the nostalgic theme, attracting attention from both media and fashion enthusiasts.
The runway show was a sensory experience, with music and visuals that complemented the collection’s theme. The nostalgic references were evident in the choice of fabrics and patterns, as well as in the accessories and overall styling. The collaboration with Anna Himma brought an additional layer of depth to the collection, infusing it with her unique vision and experience.
Racer Worldwide’s debut at Paris Fashion Week with the FW24 “Core Memory” collection was a bold statement in the fashion industry. The collection’s blend of nostalgia and modernity, combined with high-profile collaborations and meticulous craftsmanship, set a high standard for future presentations. As Racer Worldwide continues to evolve, this collection serves as a pivotal moment in its journey, showcasing the brand’s ability to connect the past with the present in a seamless and innovative way.
