Supreme has once again joined forces with Vans® to create a custom version of the iconic Sid sneaker. This latest collaboration has a premium suede upper, while the shoe’s interior features leather lining and an insole, ensuring comfort and durability. The vulcanized waffle outsole not only provides superior grip but also pays homage to Vans’ classic design heritage. The custom heel label and inset leather graphic on the side add unique touches that highlight the exclusivity of this release.
Designed exclusively for Supreme, the Sid will be available in three distinct colorways, catering to a variety of style preferences. This collaboration brings us the shoe in three different colors – blue, black and red. Whether you’re a long-time fan of Supreme or a dedicated Vans enthusiast, this release promises to deliver on both aesthetics and performance.
A custom heel label accompanies an inset leather graphic on the side, featuring Supreme’s slogan, “Fuck Em!.” This design element is a nod to the 2014 collaboration between Supreme and Vans, which showcased the same graphic on special editions of the Era and Sk8-Hi sneakers.
SNEAKERS
Mark your calendars for June 13th, when this highly anticipated sneaker will be available worldwide. For those in Japan and South Korea, the release will follow shortly on June 15th. Given the unique design elements and the brands’ devoted followings, this limited-edition Supreme x Vans Sid Sneaker collaboration is expected to sell out quickly.
Supreme’s journey of collaborations began in 1996 with Vans, setting a precedent for high-profile partnerships that continue to this day. Initially a small skate shop in Soho, New York, Supreme’s collaboration with Vans was a significant achievement, considering the store was only two years old. The partnership kicked off with the release of three colorways of the Vans Old Skool, a shoe celebrated for its classic skate style and durability. This collaboration was pivotal, marking the start of a long-lasting relationship that has seen numerous successful releases over the years.
Throughout the years, Supreme’s collaborations with Vans have been diverse and innovative, often revisiting and revamping classic Vans silhouettes such as the Sk8-Hi, Old Skool, and Half Cab. Each release has maintained a unique blend of Supreme’s bold design and Vans’ classic appeal. Notable collaborations include the 2004 FBI pack, the 2012 Campbell’s Soup collection, and the 2019 Jean Paul Gaultier floral print series.
