Fashion brand Ten c presented its Spring Summer 2025 Collection, aptly named “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” an innovative fusion of military functionality and urban sophistication. This line underscores the brand’s commitment to blending utilitarian design with modern aesthetics, spearheaded by designer Alessandro Pungetti.
Alessandro Pungetti continues to explore the practicality and robust nature of military uniforms as a foundation for fashion. This collection builds on the groundwork laid in the Fall Winter 2024.25 collection, taking cues from the durable and functional aspects of military wear while steering them into the world of urban chic. The standout piece, the Aviator Flight Suit, epitomizes this approach. It maintains the functional essence of traditional aviators’ gear but introduces aluminium zippers and sleek design tweaks to enhance its urban appeal and everyday wearability.
Ten c’s exploration of materials reaches new heights with additions like water-repellent resin-coated linen and garment-dyed nylon gabardine that boasts a metallic sheen. These materials ensure the collection is both high in technical performance and in style. Established fabrics like OJJ, tactel nylon, and three-layer heat-sealed cotton/nylon remain staples, continuing the brand’s legacy of blending innovation with tradition.
The collection’s uniqueness is amplified by its finishing techniques. Natural Wax and Natural Old Dyed treatments on OJJ fabric bestow each item with a distinct, aged look, adding character and a sense of history. The introduction of Shadow Dyed Spray across various materials provides a trompe l’oeil effect, adding depth and individuality to each piece. This technique extends beyond outerwear to include T-shirts, button-ups, and sweatshirts, ensuring a cohesive look throughout the collection.
Key pieces such as the Jeans Jacket, Fly Jacket, Woodland Jacket, Anorak, and Dress Jacket showcase the versatility and intricate detailing expected of Ten c. Each item exemplifies the brand’s skill in creating garments that are both functional and fashionable.
The color palette remains true to the brand’s essence, with earthy tones like chocolate brown, work khaki, navy blue, and asphalt grey. These are complemented by neutral shades like ice white and accented with splashes of aquamarine/blue, achieved through mineral dye processes. This range of colors enhances the collection’s connection to nature and the outdoors while also ensuring the pieces are versatile for various urban settings.
