Philippe Paubert, Ungaro‘s Creative Director, whisked us away to a luxurious Mexican escape for Spring/Summer 2025. The collection broke from convention, transporting the audience to a world of vibrant colors and textures inspired by the rich landscapes of Mexico and the bold architecture of Luis Barragán. Paubert’s vision was clear: a celebration of laid-back sophistication.

Drawing inspiration from Mexico’s vibrant landscapes, the collection was a celebration of color and texture. Earthy tones and tactile fabrics like bouclé adorned bermuda suits and garment-dyed camouflage pieces, creating a sense of laid-back sophistication. This thematic approach not only highlighted the versatility of the garments but also paid homage to the natural beauty and architectural genius of Barragán’s Mexico.
SPRING SUMMER 2025
Tailoring received a contemporary refresh with collarless jackets and relaxed silhouettes dominating the runway. Paubert’s keen eye for modern trends was evident in the athleisure-inspired pieces, where boxy jackets were paired with matching shorts, catering to those dreaming of warmer climates. For the Parisian attendees facing a damp day, the collection offered pixelated jungle-print raincoats and oversized trenches, blending practicality with Paubert’s artistic flair.

Ungaro’s signature floral prints were reimagined in various forms, adding a whimsical touch to the collection. Classic cotton designs were juxtaposed with playful linens featuring chili peppers amidst lush greenery, capturing the essence of a sunny escape. Polka dots, another house signature, were given a 60s twist with blurred brights, adorning shirts and swimming shorts alike. These prints embodied the collection’s focus on carefree, sun-soaked days.
Luxury wasn’t confined to casual wear in Paubert’s vision. The eveningwear offerings were nothing short of opulent, featuring deep forest green tuxedo jackets with wide shawl collars and sequined motifs reminiscent of lush vegetation. These pieces exuded an air of sophistication, ensuring that even the most formal occasions were imbued with the vibrant spirit of the collection’s Mexican inspiration.

From the relaxed tailoring to the playful prints and luxurious eveningwear, Ungaro’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection is an invitation to embrace a life of leisure and bask in the beauty of Mexico’s vibrant culture. Philippe Paubert masterfully blended practicality with artistic expression, delivering a collection that not only celebrated the aesthetic of a luxurious Mexican escape but also offered versatile, wearable pieces for the modern man.
