As fashion designer Anja Gockel declared, her Spring Summer 2025 collection “Let the birds fly” symbolizes inner freedom. Furthermore this theme should encourage the guests to follow their intuitions and dreams. Besides she claimed that in a world where our reality is often limited because of restrictions, it is our own inner freedom that enables us to fly.
As location for this unique fashion show, the designer created her very own, colourful Garden of Eden. The 25 meters long, purple catwalk was surrounded by 30 oversized, handmade flowers. As exclusive event location, Paris44 in Berlin Wilmersdorf, a fashion, art and event location which is run by the labels’ founder, was chosen. Her flagship store can be found in the same location.
The models, artists and dancers that were presenting this line contributed to the unique, fanciful spirit of this collection. Another fact that is worth mentioning is that Anja Gockel creates her outfits in Germany since 25 years. Sustainability plays an important role for the designer who often points out that buying less, but better quality, makes a lot of sense.
The range of colours is a strong one that invites you to dream: the nuances are ranging from sunset red, coral, magenta to several blue tones of the sky such as sky and cerulean. Therefore the overall impression of this bold colour palette is a very positive, joyful and optimistic one. In addition to that, the fabrics contain geometric patterns, motifs which take their inspiration from flora and fauna (look at these beautiful butterfly patterns!) plus playful details. That emphasizes the individual character of the looks of this summer line.
These outfits are the perfect addition for warm and blithe summer days. They are both celebrating the female silhouette and always stay wearable, but also give the wearer a lot of mobility. Furthermore they can be worn by any generation.
Worth of mentioning is the very special detail awareness of this line. We spotted a lot of draped dresses, several trousers that are quite wide cut, light blouses and very elegant jumpsuits. Another advantage you’ll notice when wearing these pieces: these chic summer creations are very comfortable to wear as well.
The artistic design of the event location and the fashion show created an innovative connection between fashion, arts and free spirit. Several international artists which were curated by MKM Gallery participated in this happening too. They showcased their pictures and living art and that way underlined the implementation of this collections’ theme.
“Let the birds fly” is a very expressive, colourful line for bright summer days that encourages the customers to listen to their intutions and dreams. As the designer declared, only when you listen to your inner self, you can “let the birds fly”…
