A$AP Rocky is back, and he’s in “Swiftie” mode—but don’t expect a tribute to Taylor Swift’s Eras tour. The Harlem rapper has officially released his latest track, “Tailor Swif,” a fan-favorite that was first teased during his festival performances in 2022. The song, previously mistaken for a homage titled “Taylor Swift,” playfully flips the pop star’s name into clever wordplay, showcasing Rocky’s signature wit and lyrical dexterity.

“Tailor Swif” had already made waves in the fan community after a leaked version of both the track and its video surfaced online. Initially reluctant to release the track officially, Rocky’s decision marks a shift in his approach to leaks, opting to take control of the narrative and officially drop the song. This unexpected release comes as fans eagerly await more details on Rocky’s forthcoming album, Don’t Be Dumb, which has yet to receive an official release date.
The release of “Tailor Swif” follows the earlier drop of “Highjack,” featuring Jessica Pratt, and performances of new material at Rolling Loud Miami and Rolling Loud Portugal. With each release, Rocky is building anticipation for Don’t Be Dumb, hinting at a project that will push boundaries both sonically and visually. “I grab inspiration from so many different places, genres and cultures, and I make it original. Originality is a skill set. I think I have a talent in finding and recognizing that in people,” – says Rocky for billboard.
Don’t Be Dumb is set to feature the high-profile collaborators, such as his longtime friend and fellow rapper Tyler, The Creator, and an impressive lineup of producers, including Pharrell Williams, Mike Dean, Hitkidd, Madlib, and Metro Boomin. The album will also introduce some surprising names, like Morrissey, to the mix.
A$AP Rocky’s upcoming album Don’t Be Dumb marks his long-awaited return to the studio, his first full-length project since the release of Testing in 2018. This significant gap has heightened anticipation among fans, who are eager to see how Rocky’s sound has evolved over the past six years. Known for his innovative approach and ability to blend different genres and influences, Rocky has teased a fresh, artistic direction with this album, promising a fusion of abstract European art influences and his signature style.
