Balenciaga 3XL Sneaker in Striking New Campaign

The latest campaign from Balenciaga, spotlights the brand’s new 3XL Sneaker, a bold addition to its line of athletic-inspired footwear. The campaign is a series of portraits that showcase the unique design and aesthetic of this avant-garde sneaker. Through these images, Balenciaga continues to blur the lines between high fashion and performance wear, offering a fresh take on what modern luxury footwear can be.

Captured by the acclaimed photographer Chris Lensz, the campaign features models Daniel and Lise, who embody the contemporary and edgy spirit of the brand. The photographs highlight the 3XL Sneaker in a sleek, monochromatic eggshell colorway, set against the backdrop of a domestic environment. This setting contrasts with the shoe’s high-tech design, emphasizing the juxtaposition between everyday life and Balenciaga’s forward-thinking approach to fashion.

The 3XL Sneaker stands out with its exaggerated, super-wide silhouette, a deliberate departure from traditional running shoe designs. The shoe’s construction features technical mesh in various scales, creating a multi-textured surface that adds depth. Thick laces further enhance the shoe’s robust appearance, making it a statement piece that is both functional and fashion-forward.

A key element of the 3XL Sneaker’s design is its illusionary effect, achieved through the intricate play of shapes and surfaces. The sneaker’s complex structure seems to expand and shift under different angles, giving it a dynamic, almost surreal quality. This effect is further amplified by the distressed version of the sneaker, which nods to its vintage-inspired roots, blending nostalgia with modern design.

Now available in Balenciaga stores and on their official website, the 3XL Sneaker is positioned as a must-have item for those who appreciate the intersection of style and innovation. Its design not only pays homage to the traditional high-performance running shoe but also redefines it for the luxury market, making it a standout in Balenciaga’s collection.

i have a pair, guilty as charged! They look so stupid and yet so cool…. not as easy to wear as Balenciaga Treks but it is Balenciaga 3XHL you do expect a chunky sneaker

you take a taxi haha! I am sure these are fine to walk in. they are called BALENCIAGA 3XL for a reason. Demna is sure proving he is the king of oversized… no matter how hard Guram tries to compete in this category.

i see Balenciaga 3XL working out far better than expected for Kering …. the shoe is ridiculous but still wearable. I am already seeing people on the street wearing it, and they didnt have a shoe this buzzed since Balenciaga Treck

I would say Balenciaga sneakers are not for you. this is not about function and often even not about comfort. tbh all of my Balenciaga shoes were ok comfort wise…not the best but completely fine for a fashion shoe.

The Balenciaga 3XL go from 950 euros on Balenciaga store site, to up to 1100 euros depending on the model on other sites. I am waiting for the sale season on these 🙂
