Levi’s and Kiko Kostadinov have joined forces to create their first capsule collection, bringing together Levi’s denim heritage and Kostadinov’s standout design approach. This collaboration, which debuted at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, shows unexpected, forward-thinking details that are characteristic of Kostadinov’s style on levis classic denim.
The collection, set to launch globally on August 22, 2024, includes seven pieces that span both menswear and womenswear. For the menswear line, Kostadinov reinterprets Levi’s iconic 90s-era Engineered Jeans™, adding his unique twist with diamond-shaped inserts inspired by traditional Bulgarian motifs and innovative darting at the knees and elbows. This design introduces a fresh, conceptual visual language that integrates functional elements such as ventilation eyelets within the diamond panels.
The womenswear offering, led by Laura and Deanna Fanning, the creative directors of Kiko Kostadinov Womenswear, takes a more tactile approach. The collection features relaxed-fit jeans and denim jackets, reimagined with fuzzy textures and umber tones. One standout piece is the denim jacket with exaggerated sleeves and a waist-cinching gilet overlay, showcasing the brand’s love for layering and asymmetry. The pieces are characterized by their hybrid construction.
This collection will be available through various channels, including Levi’s stores, Kiko Kostadinov’s Tokyo outlet, and online platforms like levi.com and kikokostadinov.com. Take a closer look at the collection in the Gallery below:
