Songzio presents its highly anticipated 24 Fall Winter campaign, titled “Night Thieves,” in a visually stunning collaboration with famous South Korean photographer Chogiseok. Known for his surrealistic and artistic approach, Chogiseok’s lens brings to life the dualistic and avant-garde nature of Songzio’s designs. This campaign is their second collaboration. The campaign centers around the concept of “Night Thieves,” portraying antiheroes who embody the paradoxes of the night—calm yet chaotic, eerie yet grounded, dark yet luminous.
Drawing inspiration from the myth of Prometheus, who stole fire from the gods, Songzio reimagines the antiheroes as modern-day Promethean figures. These “Night Thieves” are seen as rebels who, while bringing innovation and future possibilities, also introduce an element of chaos, symbolizing the complexities of existence.
The campaign is divided into seven chapters, each going deeper into the narrative of the Night Thieves. The first four chapters, “Night Thieves,” “Antihero,” “Corruption,” and “Solitude,” will be released in August 2024, setting the stage for the final three chapters, “Prometheus,” “Chaos,” and “Fire,” which are set for release in October 2024.
Songzio’s creative process is intrinsically tied to the concept of “Paint on Black,” where each collection begins on a black canvas. This artistic approach is mirrored in the campaign’s visual storytelling, with heavy vertical strokes symbolizing objects and sharp horizontal strokes representing emotions. This juxtaposition of “order and disorder” is a recurring theme in Songzio’s work, manifesting in the campaign’s imagery and the collection itself.
