The collection is presented at Serapian’s headquarters, Villa Mozart, in Milan, through an immersive installation created by Venetian artist Lorenzo Vitturi. This collaboration encapsulates the concept of “Merging Islands,” a theme that was first unveiled in Tokyo at Villa Serapian Ginza. The Milan exhibition transports the enchanting atmosphere of Venice to the heart of Milan, inviting attendees to explore the artistic synergy between Vitturi’s vision and Serapian’s esteemed craftsmanship.
Upon entering the exhibition, visitors are greeted by the first room, which features wooden islands that display five sculptural totems, each representing one of the islands of the Venetian Lagoon. These striking pieces serve not only as artistic representations but also as a nod to the geographical and cultural significance of Venice. The interplay of shapes and colors creates a captivating introduction to the collection.
The second room takes guests into Vitturi’s Murano atelier, where traditional glass-blowing techniques come to life. Here, four special edition creations that fuse leather and glass are on display, showcasing the innovative potential of these materials when combined. This room offers an intimate glimpse into the craftsmanship behind each piece, highlighting the meticulous attention to detail that defines Serapian’s work.
The final display presents a bold art installation made from glass and wool, reflecting Vitturi’s exploration of organic materials. This imposing piece not only draws attention but also serves as a powerful representation of the fusion of art and fashion. The combination of textures and colors further emphasizes the collection’s themes, inviting contemplation of the natural world and its influences on design.
Serapian’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, creates a unique experience that transports visitors from Milan to Venice. As attendees explore the interplay of art and fashion, they are left with a deeper appreciation for the stories and traditions that inspire Serapian’s exceptional work.
