Designer Natalie De’Banco presented Bronx & Banco ‘s SS25 Demi Couture Collection, “Madame Papillon,” last night at Maxim’s de Paris in the 8th arrondissement. This event marked the brand’s first appearance at Paris Fashion Week, featuring 16 handcrafted looks that attracted an international audience of fashion enthusiasts and industry professionals.
The collection draws inspiration from the opera “Madame Butterfly,” exploring themes of love, sacrifice, and beauty. Rich textures and a vibrant color palette aim to mirror the emotional depth of the classic work. Luxurious textiles such as silk, lace, and satin are used to reflect De’Banco’s appreciation for Paris, a city whose elegance and artistry have influenced her designs.
Key features of the “Madame Papillon” collection include intricate lace structures, sequin and crystal embroidery, and oversized feathers. Each piece was crafted by De’Banco and her team of seven pattern makers in the brand’s atelier. Models wore large-brimmed hats created by Parisian artist Rose Cherie Paris, complemented by diamond and oversized gold accessories. These elements were chosen to enhance the thematic focus of the collection without overshadowing the garments themselves.
The collection is priced between $1,500 and $7,500, making it accessible to clients seeking high-end fashion. Interested customers can find the “Madame Papillon” collection at retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Harvey Nichols, Bergdorf Goodman, and select boutiques worldwide.
