For their FW24 campaign, OTTOLINGER takes a dramatic turn, capturing the spirit of Berlin through the lens of renowned photographer Heji Shin. The campaign stars OTTOLINGER founders Cosima Gadient and Christa Bösch, an unexpected move for the duo who usually prefer to stay behind the scenes. Set against the backdrop of their personal apartments, the campaign reflects a thrilling narrative of high tension and unraveling secrets, an apt metaphor for the subversive elegance that defines OTTOLINGER’s aesthetic.

The decision to feature Cosima and Christa themselves marks a departure from the norm for the brand, which has often thrived on the anonymity of its creators. Rarely giving interviews or appearing in public as the face of OTTOLINGER, the founders have cultivated an air of mystery that enhances the appeal of their designs. By stepping in front of the camera for FW24, they peel back the curtain just slightly, offering a glimpse into their creative world while maintaining their signature enigmatic presence.

Heji Shin’s photography captures the essence of Berlin’s rawness and energy, focusing on both the grit and the glamour. The campaign settings, within the founders’ own apartments, provide an intimate look at the bare bones of Berlin—spaces that are stripped of pretension yet brimming with character. The imagery reflects OTTOLINGER’s balance of high tension and understated chaos, with Cosima and Christa styled in garments that seem ready to unravel at any moment, mirroring the brand’s experimental approach to deconstruction.
