SKIMS has unveiled a new bra campaign featuring actress, Olivia Munn, launched in collaboration with Susan G. Komen®. The campaign focuses on Munn’s personal breast cancer journey, aiming to raise awareness and encourage women to prioritize early health screenings. Directed by photographer Vanessa Beecroft, a long-time SKIMS collaborator, the campaign showcases Munn in SKIMS’ signature bras and shapewear.
Reflecting on the campaign, Munn expressed her gratitude for partnering with SKIMS and Susan G. Komen® on such a meaningful project. “This cause is deeply personal to me, and I’m proud to help drive awareness and conversation around it,” said Munn. She highlighted how the campaign aligns with SKIMS’ mission of confidence and community, emphasizing the importance of feeling empowered and supported during difficult times.
Earlier this year, Munn publicly shared her battle with breast cancer, urging women to take early detection seriously through the Breast Cancer Risk Assessment test. Her message resonated globally, driving significant traffic to the tool’s website and resulting in a sharp increase in testing. According to the National Cancer Institute, Munn’s outreach led to a remarkable 4,000% rise in visits to the assessment tool, sparking proactive health measures among women worldwide.
From October 23 to October 31, 2024, SKIMS will donate 10% of the retail sales price of each bra sold—excluding bralettes—to Susan G. Komen® as part of its commitment to the cause. “When Olivia shared her story, we saw a 500% spike in visits to our risk assessment tool,” said Paula Schneider, President and CEO of Susan G. Komen®. She emphasized the importance of early detection and access to care, stating that one-third of breast cancer deaths could be prevented with adequate support.
Kim Kardashian, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of SKIMS, praised Munn’s bravery in sharing her story. “We are honored to amplify Olivia’s voice this Breast Cancer Awareness Month,” Kardashian said.
