Raised in Northern Europe, Vitali Zahharov has truly lived the American Dream. As the Creative Director at Modden, a Los Angeles-based design studio, he has been instrumental in shaping the company’s success. Founded just before the COVID pandemic began, Modden has quickly established itself as a powerhouse in the design world, earning a reputation for its cutting-edge digital experiences and innovative solutions. With a focus on web design, art direction, and development, Modden consistently delivers exceptional work that stands out on a global stage.
Throughout his career, Vitali has had the privilege of collaborating with some of the world’s most renowned companies and innovative startups. His design expertise has helped numerous clients achieve significant financial success, turning his creative decisions into millions in revenue.
As Vitali puts it, “You have to be bold. Don’t shy away from risks or failure – fear not trying at all.” His words reflect his approach to design, where each project is treated as a bold, creative experiment aimed at reshaping the industry.
Growing up in Estonia, Vitali Zahharov harbored ambitions far beyond the confines of his homeland. While Estonia held a special place in his heart, Vitali yearned for something more, a place where he could channel his creativity and make a tangible impact on people’s lives. He knew that to fulfill his aspirations, he needed to venture beyond familiar shores and explore the boundless possibilities that awaited him in the global arena of design. His relentless pursuit of excellence, combined with a vision to create meaningful digital experiences, led him to the U.S. and the vibrant city of Los Angeles.
“My journey has been full of ups and downs, but I’m grateful to be here, making my American Dream a reality! The most important lesson I’ve learned is that hard work eventually pays off, and when it does, the success you achieve is incredibly rewarding. Seeing the success of your efforts is the most awesome thing that has ever happened to me!” Vitali shares.
Vitali’s international experiences, from working in Europe to Asia and the U.S., have shaped his approach to design and collaboration. Vitali emphasizes the value of adapting to different cultural contexts, stating:
“I’ve had the opportunity to work in places like France, Spain, and Singapore, each presenting its own unique cultural and design challenges. Every country has its distinct people, values, and design language, which require a shift in vision and approach. Singapore, for instance, stands out in its distinctiveness – its design needs, culture, and people are unlike anywhere else. The U.S. is no different in its diversity. It’s a vast country, a melting pot of cultures, and being able to navigate that requires a high level of adaptability and open-mindedness.
What I’m most grateful for is the chance to collaborate with remarkable people and industry leaders across this journey. Working here in the U.S. has been an incredible privilege, not just professionally but personally as well. Immersing myself in the culture, learning the language, and understanding the everyday habits has enriched both my work and my life in ways I never imagined.”
Vitali has had the privilege of working with some of the world’s most renowned brands, including Samsung, Safebase, Impact Theory, Sun, Oracle, Royal Caribbean, Huawei, Thrive Market, and TaxAct, to name just a few.
His collaborations with these industry giants showcase his ability to deliver top-tier design solutions that drive innovation and elevate brand presence on a global scale.
