The North Face and SKIMS have joined forces to introduce a limited-edition winter wear collection that reimagines archival pieces through a modern lens. Set to release on December 10, 2024, the partnership unites The North Face’s mountain heritage and outdoor performance expertise with SKIMS’ signature fit and color palette, resulting in head-to-toe looks that seamlessly transition from first tracks to après ski. Both brands, known for pushing the boundaries of innovation and quality, have created a lineup that aims to strike the perfect balance between functionality and flattering silhouettes.

Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer of SKIMS, Kim Kardashian, described the collaboration as a natural step into the winter wear category, drawing on her own experiences on the slopes. “I’ve spent a lot of time on the slopes, so I was definitely inspired when we were developing this collection,” Kardashian said. The pieces reflect SKIMS’ hallmark body-sculpting approach, now adapted for performance apparel that can withstand the elements, along with the refined comfort and iconic technical design that define The North Face.
Two striking campaigns set the stage for this collection’s release. The first, shot by artist Vanessa Beecroft, captures an ensemble cast tackling the slopes of Chile, blending high-altitude adventure with high fashion. In the second campaign, photographed by Donna Trope, Kim Kardashian models key pieces, including the Down One Piece and Refina Bodysuit, while emphasizing the monochromatic layering that defines this line.
At the core of The North Face x SKIMS lies a respectful fusion of each brand’s distinct strengths. Drawing on The North Face’s deep archive of outdoor apparel, the collection updates classic silhouettes with SKIMS’ compressive and sculpting base layers. These layering pieces highlight the body’s natural contours, making them well-suited for a range of activities—whether carving through fresh powder or relaxing fireside after a long day. The result is a collection that embodies the innovative DNA of both companies and appeals to a clientele that values both style and substance.
Leaders from both sides have emphasized the synergy that made this collaboration possible. David Whetstone, Director of Collaborations and Energy at The North Face, noted that the project stemmed from a mutual admiration, with each brand elevating the other’s work. Similarly, SKIMS CEO Jens Grede described it as one of the label’s most technically advanced collections to date—an effort that builds on The North Face’s performance heritage and SKIMS’ solutions-based approach to design.
When it becomes available online, SKIMS retail locations, select The North Face stores, and luxury retailers like SSENSE and Highsnobiety, shoppers will find sizes ranging from XXS-3X and S-XL, as well as mules in sizes 5-11, and prices from $60 to $1,200. Complementing the clothing line is an immersive in-store experience that merges SKIMS’ signature sculptural aesthetics with The North Face’s precise hardware detailing. This unique environment will provide a tactile exploration of the partnership’s vision—merging form and function to offer a fresh perspective on winter wear.
