AMIRI unveiled its Fall Winter 2025 collection with a cinematic ode to Hollywood, as Creative Director Mike Amiri transformed the runway into a fantasy lounge bar, Club AMIRI. Presented against the backdrop of Los Angeles nightlife, the show was a tribute to the city’s essence, a place where dreams are made, rebuilt, and celebrated. For the first time, AMIRI premiered its womenswear collection alongside menswear.
Mike Amiri described the collection as a homage to Hollywood and his home city of Los Angeles, one filled with “optimism, dreams, and love.” This sentiment was infused into every aspect of the collection, combining the nostalgia of classic after-dark dressing with a fresh, contemporary edge. Drawing inspiration from the late 1960s and early 1970s, the designs reflected the evolution of Los Angeles identity, reinterpreting vintage aesthetics through a refined modern lens.
The collection’s tailoring was sharp yet approachable, combining polished formalwear with the relaxed ease synonymous with Los Angeles. Men’s and women’s suits featured sleek cuts, complemented by ties for both, while textures and patterns played with vintage influences. Crystal embroidery adorned fine wools and merino knitwear, adding intricate detail to the brand’s signature silhouette. A muted yet sophisticated palette of merlot burgundy, golden espresso, mint, and gilt shifted subtly, evoking the glamour of nighttime reflections.
Lurex-flecked knitwear and striped foulard silks introduced a playful element, while leather, smooth or embossed with exotic textures, picked up the light in evening settings. In a modern twist, leather pieces were printed with Prince-of-Wales check, reimagining classic tailoring with a contemporary attitude.
The collection drew heavily from the interiors of legendary Hollywood landmarks, including the Formosa Café and Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. Embroideries and jacquards reflected the multicultural richness of the West Coast, reinterpreted into embellishments and jewelry motifs. This homage to Hollywood’s heritage created a layered narrative.
Women’s designs stood out for their powerful presence. AMIRI’s womenswear featured bias-cut evening dresses, sequined knit columns, and tuxedos reimagined with ease and sophistication. Ties and tailoring blurred traditional gender codes, showcasing a new interpretation of femininity rooted in strength and elegance.
Accessories were integral to the storytelling, adding depth to the characters envisioned by the collection. Eyewear, debuting this season, featured golden Art Deco-inspired detailing reminiscent of jewelry, while East-West clutches offered an evening-focused addition to AMIRI’s handbag line. Roses, as a recurring motif, appeared in various forms, printed, knitted, embroidered, or dipped in 24-karat gold and applied to lapels or carried as accents.
The intricate details elevated the collection’s cinematic mood, creating a sense of intimacy and narrative. As the audience sat among the AMIRI characters, they were immersed in the dreamlike fantasy of Los Angeles nightlife, becoming part of the story themselves.
