Luxury house Dior unveiled its Summer 2025 Campaign captured by fashion photographer Pieter Hugo. In charge of art direction was Ronnie Cooke Newhouse, with styling from Melanie Ward, and beauty by hair stylist Benjamin Muller, and makeup artist Peter Philips. Stars of the campaign are Malick Bodian, Louis Mercurol, Dugyeong Kim, Lv Yifan, and Oskar Geipel. Film direction by Franck Lebon.
Dior’s Summer 2025 Men’s Collection by Kim Jones emerges as a study in artisanal expertise and forward-thinking design. The visionary approach begins with silhouettes that celebrate refined tailoring techniques while embracing a subtle utilitarian edge. Each garment embodies a deliberate blend of modern fabric choices and references to timeless craft, yielding pieces that feel sculptural yet wearable.
Kim Jones draws upon Hylton Nel’s creative universe to inform key details, lending the collection a tactile, ceramic-inspired dimension. Curved seams and smooth contours reflect the gentle shapes often seen in Nel’s pottery. Soft pastels feature prominently in the palette, which resonates with the campaign’s backdrop: lush foliage arranged against a dreamy, understated setting. Models pose on color-saturated pedestals accompanied by reimagined feline sculptures, echoing one of Nel’s most iconic artistic motifs.
The range’s knitwear stands out for its playful patterns and lively prints, echoing the spontaneous qualities found in Nel’s ceramics. A sense of volume unites these silhouettes, with selected garments taking on a rounded profile. An apron – often viewed as a symbol of workwear – is transformed into an inventive belt, hinting at a practical heritage redefined through a couture lens.
Accessories fuse everyday function with aesthetic allure. The Dior Normandie tote, crafted in Dior Icons grained leather, embodies reliable elegance, while the brand’s signature Saddle bag receives fresh interpretations. Footwear offers equally expressive options: the B35 NXXT sneakers appear in both suede and raffia finishes, and a clog undergoes transformations to become a biker boot or a derby, underscoring the creative versatility at play.
A striking detail surfaces in the form of a scarf collar, an interpretation of a historic design from Yves Saint Laurent’s archives. Woven through with an innovative production method, this material reappears as decorative brooches on various outerwear pieces, serving as a distinctive accent. Cloche hats add a dash of daring flair, capping off each ensemble with an unmistakable sense of personality.
The Dior Summer 2025 Menswear campaign images heighten the lyrical mood of this collection. Subtle pastel tones and verdant plants balance one another, forming an environment that highlights each garment’s artistry.
