IM MEN presented its Fly with IM MEN Fall Winter 2025/26 collection on January 23 at the historic Le Réfectoire des Cordeliers in Paris, marking the brand’s Paris debut. True to its roots in Issey Miyake’s philosophy of “a piece of cloth,” the collection seamlessly integrated traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, pushing the boundaries of form, construction, and sustainable innovation.
FALL WINTER 2025.26 COLLECTIONS
At the heart of the presentation was an installation designed by Tokujin Yoshioka, inspired by the fluidity of fabric. The moving display evoked the transformative potential of textiles, embodying the collection’s focus on freedom and boundless creativity. This ethos was woven into every aspect of the garments, designed to celebrate the beauty of fabric with minimal waste while offering versatile, liberating silhouettes.
Key highlights included the FLY series, which utilized selvage edges, traditionally trimmed off, to create garments with no excess trimmings. Coats and jackets could be worn upside down or styled into varying silhouettes through strategic button placements. The FLAT DRAPE series featured square-shaped pieces that transformed into elegant folds when worn, utilizing a plant-based polyester for soft, structured shapes.
The WALL series showcased a bold approach to construction, with the inner panels of garments intentionally displayed on the exterior. These outerwear pieces were crafted from recycled polyester with a soft yet substantial feel, featuring hood-transforming back panels and modular button arrangements for added versatility. Meanwhile, HERON made history as the first clothing line to use Ultrasuede made from 100% plant-based polyester, with its lightweight, voluminous coats adorned with machine-cut gradient holes for a striking, modern aesthetic.
Sustainability remained central with SWITCH, a series made from plant-based nylon fiber, offering detachable linings that could be repurposed as vests. The collection also introduced METALLIC ULTRA BOA, featuring co-developed artificial sheepskin with a metallic foil finish. The innovative garment construction created angular silhouettes and emphasized bold, futuristic design.
IM MEN’s Fall Winter 2025.26 collection demonstrated a harmonious balance between design ingenuity and sustainable innovation. With its thoughtful integration of form, function, and eco-conscious materials, the collection not only reflected the spirit of transformation but also redefined modern clothing as a means of creative and environmental expression.
