Colm Dillane, the visionary behind KidSuper, unveiled From a Place I Have Never Been at Paris Fashion Week, a groundbreaking collaboration with artist Daniel Wurtzel. Staged at the iconic Halle Charlie Parker in La Villette on January 25, 2025, the show blurred the boundaries of fashion, performance, and art in an immersive spectacle.
FALL WINTER 2025.26 COLLECTIONS
Known for his kinetic sculptures that transform air into an artistic medium, Wurtzel’s ethereal installations perfectly complemented Dillane’s fearless and kaleidoscopic designs. Together, they created a surreal runway experience where garments and air sculptures danced in unison, embodying themes of vulnerability, transformation, and discovery. “Fashion and art are about creating worlds where people can dream,” Dillane remarked, emphasizing his commitment to risk-taking as a cornerstone of his creative process.
The collection itself reflects Dillane’s philosophy of stepping into the unknown. Signature KidSuper elements like eclectic prints, bold colors, and hand-painted details were reimagined with a more introspective tone, featuring subdued hues and textured fabrics that reflected the show’s themes. Experimental silhouettes underscored Dillane’s narrative, turning each piece into a story of embracing uncertainty and transformation.
Collaboration has always been at the heart of KidSuper, and this season was no exception. Highlights included a debut partnership with BAPE under The BAPE COLLECTIVE, marking the Japanese streetwear giant’s first-ever Paris Fashion Week appearance. This collection fused Harajuku and Brooklyn influences with KidSuper’s bold vision, offering a fearless reinterpretation of iconic BAPE patterns. Similarly, a capsule with WILDSIDE Yohji Yamamoto balanced KidSuper’s irreverence with Yohji Yamamoto’s sharp artistry, featuring tailored wool gabardine pieces and graphic prints.
The collaborative ethos extended to unexpected innovations, such as a coat that transforms into a hammock with HAMCUS, intricately hand-crocheted jackets made by Brazilian artisans with PIET, and a precision-tailored capsule by Kody Phillips. Each partnership celebrated diverse techniques and narratives, emphasizing Dillane’s belief that the best art emerges from collective effort.
The show reached its emotional peak with a performance by singer Ekaterina Shelehova, whose ethereal voice echoed the themes of transformation and vulnerability. “Her performance was the emotional heartbeat of the show,” Dillane said, encapsulating the multidimensional nature of the evening.
With From a Place I Have Never Been, KidSuper FW25 collection transcended the traditional confines of fashion. Dillane and Wurtzel delivered a deeply personal yet universal message, reminding audiences that fashion is not just about clothing—it’s about creating unforgettable moments that challenge and inspire.
