Christian Cowan presented his Fall Winter 2025 collection at The Glasshouse in New York City, where the expansive skyline served as a dramatic setting for a deeply personal tribute. This season, Cowan honored his longtime muse Abbie, a central figure in his creative process and a supporter of the brand from its early days. The collection embraces an unfiltered sense of fashion as self-expression, focusing on vivid color, theatrical silhouettes, and a sense of joy that feels both nostalgic and uninhibited. Each look incorporates elements of Abbie’s personality, from her fearless approach to dressing to the unique details that made her style unforgettable.

Reflecting on the emotional significance of the collection, Cowan shared, “Building this brand has been, and continues to be, the greatest pleasure of my life. I’ve had the opportunity to tell stories, explore aesthetics ranging from commercial to avant-garde, and take our customers on joyful journeys. It’s in the creation of these collections that I find the greatest joy, working with my incredible team and atelier.” He also spoke about Abbie’s lasting influence, saying, “Late last year, we lost a truly special person and a deeply central part of our team and business: Abbie. Abbie was a true fashion lover who wore larger-than-life looks daily, always leaving us in awe. She was my greatest supporter, constantly championing me and my team to push boundaries, break norms, grow, and, most importantly, have a fabulous time doing so. Abbie will forever be a muse to me.”

The collection features sculptural silhouettes and unconventional materials, including a dress designed to resemble stretched chewing gum, giving it a fluid, glossy effect. The collection also features a series of sheer, embellished gowns that play with transparency and structure, along with exaggerated puff sleeves that add a sense of theatricality. Some of these pieces were previewed ahead of the show in a campaign featuring Julia Fox, teasing the collection’s emphasis on high-impact dressing.
Building on their previous partnership, Christian Cowan and DSW reunited for Fall Winter 2025 to introduce six special looks incorporating footwear directly into the designs. Every pair of shoes worn on the runway, along with select looks from the collection, is available for purchase through DSW.com and in select stores.

The collection serves as both a tribute and an exploration of fashion as a form of celebration. With its expressive silhouettes and sense of playful experimentation, Cowan’s latest offering embraces the joy of dressing up, a concept that remains at the core of his brand.
