New York Fashion Week is as much about the energy of the city as it is about the collections on the runway. Between back-to-back shows, fittings, and events, the DSCENE team made time to explore some of the most exciting dining spots in Manhattan, each offering a unique take on luxury, comfort, and culinary artistry. From elevated steakhouses and Mediterranean fine dining to contemporary Indian cuisine and effortlessly cool Mexican fare, these restaurants provided the perfect backdrop to unwind, connect, and celebrate the spirit of fashion week.
RESTAURANTS
Whether it was tasting the premium cuts at the newly opened Beefbar New York, savoring handmade pastas at OPTO, or grabbing a quick yet unforgettable bite at Scarr’s Pizza, this season’s lineup of dining destinations was just as thrilling as what we saw on the runways. Here’s where we dined during NYFW 2025 – from opulent sit-down experiences to fast, no-fuss essentials.

OPTO
Mediterranean Sophistication
For a taste of Mediterranean excellence, we headed to OPTO, the newest concept from Executive Chef Alex Tubero and co-owner Nicola Kotsoni. Located at 35 W 20th St, OPTO delivers a refined yet approachable take on Mediterranean cuisine, embracing high-quality ingredients and uncomplicated techniques. Designed by Glen Coben, the interior blends beige leather chairs, jewel-toned banquettes, and a dramatic marble bar, creating an inviting yet elevated atmosphere for post-show dinners.

Dinner begins with house-made durum wheat bread and Spanish olive oil, followed by a selection of raw dishes, charred seafood, and handmade pastas. Standout plates included the Charred Spanish Octopus, Macaroni di Bussa al Pomodoro, and the Tagliolini al Amalfi Limone, a delicate pasta infused with Amalfi lemons and cultured butter imported from France. For mains, the Tasmanian Filet Mignon and Branzino from the Canary Islands offered perfectly executed takes on land and sea specialties. OPTO’s cocktail menu takes an artful approach, with playful inspirations drawn from Dr. Seuss and Oscar Wilde quotes, while the wine list highlights selections from Italy and France.

ISHQ
Regional Indian
Adding a modern twist to traditional Indian cuisine, ISHQ in the East Village quickly became a favorite for its bold flavors and stunning plating. Recently awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand, this fine-dining spot by Chef Vamshi Adi delivers reimagined classics while preserving their authentic flavors.

Small plates like the Dudhiya Kabab, featuring house-made marinated paneer stuffed with beetroot and caramelized figs, set the stage for a menu rich in spices and regional influences. For mains, the Dum Ka Ghost (slow-cooked baby goat) and Lobster Malaikari in mustard coconut gravy brought depth and warmth, perfect for an indulgent night out between fashion events.

Beefbar New York
A Steakhouse Redefined
Marking its U.S. debut, Beefbar New York is the latest venture from Riccardo Giraudi’s globally acclaimed Monte-Carlo-based brand, offering exclusive beef cuts alongside flavorful street food. Located in Tribeca, the restaurant delivers a luxurious yet contemporary dining experience, seamlessly fitting into Manhattan’s diverse culinary landscape.

Ranked No. 22 on the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants list and Kobe-certified, Beefbar blends bold flavors with refined presentation. Designed by Humbert & Poyet, the space is a mix of eclectic textures, rich colors, and cosmopolitan elegance, making it an essential stop for fashion insiders during NYFW.

Casa Bond NoHo
A Taste of Mexico
When the craving for Mexican cuisine hit, we stopped by Casa Bond NoHo, a stylish dining spot inspired by Tulum’s vibrant culture. Run by Mike Khuu, this elevated yet relaxed restaurant serves flavorful ceviches, shareable small plates, and premium tequila cocktails. The Lobster Guacamole, Quesadilla Verde with spinach-jalapeño-epazote, and Cochinita Pibil (Yucatán-style slow-roasted pork shoulder) were just a few of the highlights.

With an artistic crowd and a lively atmosphere, Casa Bond proved to be an ideal late-night stop after a full day of runway shows.

Quick Bites
Where to Grab a Fast but Satisfying Meal
Fashion Week moves fast, and sometimes a sit-down meal isn’t an option. On the go, we grabbed slices at Scarr’s Pizza, a NYC staple known for its crispy, old-school New York-style pizza. For a quick yet deeply satisfying bowl of ramen, Ramen Ishida on 122 Ludlow Street was a must-visit, serving rich broth and hand-pulled noodles in a cozy setting.
And if you’re in Chelsea, a stop at Chelsea Market is always a good idea for diverse food options and a lively atmosphere, whether you’re in the mood for tacos, fresh seafood, or artisanal baked goods.
Whether it’s an elegant night at Beefbar, a Mediterranean feast at OPTO, or grabbing a quick bite between shows, the city offers endless culinary gems that cater to every moment of fashion week.
