This February, LOEWE unveils the full release of the Ballet Runner 2.0, a refined version of the original Ballet Runner, first introduced in 2019. Designed as a hybrid between a ballet flat and a running shoe, this updated model brings a contemporary approach to a silhouette that bridges elegance and sport. The launch coincides with the introduction of the Flow Runner, expanding the brand’s offering of footwear.
The Ballet Runner 2.0 retains the signature asymmetric toe, a hallmark of LOEWE’s approach to shape and proportion. Drawing inspiration from 1970s running shoes, the sneaker combines vintage references with modern materials. Updates include a revamped ‘L’ monogram on the quarter panel, an embossed anagram on the tongue, and a wavy-textured rubber outsole that extends to the toe cap.
Engineered for comfort, the sneaker features Sacchetto construction, a technique where the lining is stitched to the insole, creating a flexible, sock-like fit. A soft leather lining and fussbett add to the ease of wear, while an injected rubber logo on the calfskin heel tab, either in a contrasting or tonal finish, completes the design. Each pair comes with two sets of laces, allowing for customization.
A curated selection of Ballet Runner 2.0 styles debuted in December, offering a mix of nylon and calf leather variations. Initial colorways include black/white, white/black, brown/yellow/blue, lilac/white/grey, and white/red/blue. The collection will expand with additional shades, including a full soft leather edition in black, white, and cinnamon, giving wearers even more options to explore.
The full campaign for the Ballet Runner 2.0 launches on February 3, marking a new chapter in the brand’s evolving sneaker collection.
