The shortlisted candidates will be judged by a panel of over 80 international fashion experts, who will consider technical skill, innovation, and artistic vision in their evaluations. This year, the public will also have the opportunity to engage with the selection process, voting for their top eight candidates between March 5-9, 2025, via the dedicated LVMH Prize website. The finalists will be announced shortly after the showroom presentation, marking a pivotal moment in the careers of these rising stars in fashion.
Delphine Arnault, CEO of Christian Dior, expressed her excitement for this year’s edition, noting the emerging trends among young designers. “We are seeing a renewed interest in tailoring, handcrafted embellishments, and bold occasion dressing,” she remarked. Arnault also highlighted the inclusion of several returning designers, such as Renaissance Renaissance and Soshiotsuki, and celebrated the addition of new countries to the competition, reflecting the global and inclusive nature of the prize.

This addition reinforces the LVMH Prize’s commitment to supporting not only creativity but also the critical aspects of sustainable and technically advanced fashion production. The Savoir-Faire Prize winner will receive a 200,000-euro endowment, as well as a one-year mentorship program aimed at fostering craftsmanship skills in young designers.
The 20 semi-finalists span an impressive array of talents and geographical regions. Highlights include emerging designers such as Tolu Coker from the United Kingdom, who blends streetwear influences with haute couture sensibilities, and Yasmin Mansour from Egypt, who brings traditional techniques to contemporary womenswear. Other notable names include the design duo Young N Sang from South Korea, the cutting-edge designs of Penultimate by Xiang Gao from China, and the innovative works of MFPEN by Sigurd Bank from Denmark.
The LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers remains one of the most coveted awards in the fashion industry, with the winner receiving a 400,000-euro endowment, as well as a one-year custom mentorship program with LVMH’s expert team. Along with the Karl Lagerfeld Prize and the Savoir-Faire Prize, the competition provides invaluable resources for young designers to elevate their brands and bring their visions to life.
