Paco Rabanne Spring Summer 2025 campaign explores the interaction between the ordinary and the exceptional, reworking familiar wardrobe elements with a Parisian sensibility. Julien Dossena takes traditional preppy staples, rugby tops, repp ties, and striped boxer shorts, and reinterprets them with metallic finishes, sculptural silhouettes, and unexpected layering. The result is a collection that feels both spontaneous and carefully constructed, balancing casual ease with a sharp aesthetic edge.

This season, the house continues its exploration of materiality, incorporating frosted cable knits, foiled guipure lace, and shimmering jacquards that evoke both industrial precision and futuristic opulence. A palette of mint, rose, lilac, and baby blue shifts between soft and sterile, reinforcing the contrast between delicate and structured elements. Outerwear plays with proportions and movement, silver-lined windbreakers, buckled utility skirts, and crisp poplin tops that reveal open backs lend an airy yet defined presence. The collection also introduces key tailoring moments, such as a washed chambray parachute blouson, a leather caban, and men’s blazers cinched with drawstrings for a fluid, adaptable silhouette.

Dossena’s approach to craftsmanship is rooted in continuous reinvention, where garments transform through layered construction and experimental textures. A striking black jacket with reflective sequin lapels unfolds like an opened box, revealing a structured apron-style layer paired with a kilt over a crisp white shirt. Lingerie-inspired dresses and apron silhouettes skim the body, leading to increasingly intricate compositions, geometric embroidery, fine chainwork, and delicate mousseline add a sense of fluidity while maintaining architectural structure.

The collection evolves with a gradual introduction of striped patterns, now paired with sheer tulle and embroidery that give the garments a floating effect. The juxtaposition of casual elements with decadent fabrications underscores Rabanne’s commitment to reshaping conventions of everyday dressing. Each detail is the result of an iterative creative process, where materials and silhouettes are pushed to new expressive possibilities.

With Spring Summer 2025, Rabanne introduces the Artisan Editions, an elevated take on the house’s signature 1969 assemblage bags. This project brings together three respected collaborators: Arthus-Bertrand, Astier de Villatte, and Venini. The original chainmail-inspired metal discs, once derived from butcher aprons, are transformed through intricate medal-making, handcrafted ceramics, and Venetian glassblowing.
