Nam House, situated in Hackney, acts as a beacon for the local and international Vietnamese community, providing retail and office space for the client alongside community space and an apart-hotel that is open to the public. The building is conceived of as a “village in a building” linking flexible event spaces and commercial uses around a courtyard garden. Green spaces in the courtyard, roof gardens and on the facade are joined to increase the bio-diversity of the exterior spaces. The building will raise the profile of Mare Street contributing to the regeneration of the area. More images after the jump:
