WSJ. Magazine enlists supermodel Freja Beha Erichsen to star in the cover story of their largest issue ever, September Women’s Fashion issue lensed by fashion photographer Lachlan Bailey. For the session fashion stylist Ludivine Poiblanc selected pieces from the likes of Louis Vuitton, Celine, Lanvin, Burberry, Gucci, Isabel Marant, Chloe, Calvin Klein Collection, and Ralph Lauren among other. Hair styling is work of Shon with makeup by Mark Carrasquillo, and manicure by Elisa Ferri. Prop styling by Eli Metcalf.

Not anticipating having a modeling career: “I grew up playing soccer with the boys—quite far from reading magazines”
What she thought during her first modeling job when the makeup artist painted a large circle around her eye: “What did I get myself into?”
Why her androgynous look is advantageous: “I became one of the androgynous models, which wasn’t that far out of my comfort zone.”
What she enjoys most about her modeling career: “I love the process— collaborating with the photographers, traveling and seeing different cultures. My mother always said I would regret it if I didn’t do it. And I think she was right.”
