Discover Marcelo Burlon‘s Spring Summer 2018 Collection, inspired by the sense of belonging that crosses cultural borders, presented on Sunday June 18th, during the ongoing Milan Fashion Week.
“Travelers: explorers of antithetic iconographies, building their own appearance as they collect bits, assembling fragments into new wholes as they go along.
Editing cultures is their way to be. Surfers turn dark, as backpackers turn left, and tropicalia gets in. Flags, flowers, functionality. Pragmatic proportions. Clarity. Straightforwardness.
Graphic blocks, gradients and stripes provide a bold geometric allure. Suddenly, Mickey Mouse pops in, County-fied. Parkas, boxy shirts, zip-up jackets, bermudas, trackpants: the building blocks. Sunset hues: red, orange, yellow, slashed with black. Nylon, canvas, washed gabardine, cotton.“
