South Korean brand Kuho presented their Spring Summer 2019 Collection, on Saturday, September 8th 2018, during the ongoing New York Fashion Week. The collection was named Palimpsest (A palimpsest – manuscript page, either from a scroll or a book, from which the text has been scraped or washed off so that the page can be reused for another document) and it features 19 looks. Lookbook was photographed by Sloan Laurits, with styling from Tom Van Dorpe.
SPRING SUMMER 2019 COLLECTIONS
“The inspiration came from the patterns of layers of texts or drawings that were created on the reused parchment. Throughout the collection, you will find lots of layering details especially with see-through fabrics. Also, we brought back exaggerated fringes and raw edge details which are a reinterpretation of the old parchment’s edge. From SS19 collection line, we would like to highlight trendy linen fabric with a powdery feel which also ties back to the concept and inspired from dusty old parchments.“
