Spring Summer 2020 Womenswear
“The collection unites and uses: Texts of folk songs in prints on sweatshirts, sports jackets and T-shirts. Images of heroes of folk fairytales (Cat, Rooster, Koza-Dereza, Goose) are used in the show and in prints on clothes in a comic way.The rose flower is the main motif of the whole collection. The spiral structure of the flower turns into constructive forms in the shape of sculptural flounced sleeves. The dense lace covering faces of models creates an explicit image of the ancient motanka doll and helps to combine the reality with the fairytale and mystery.“
“Marta Wachholz SS 2020 show is a part of the “Lviv Orchestra Fashion” project which is held under the auspices of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. Ivan Nebesnyi, Ukrainian composer, music producer, and member of the National Union of Composers of Ukraine, created a symphonic suite based on the themes of famous Ukrainian folk songs specifically for the “Lviv Orchestra Fashion” project. The presentation of the collection, accompanied by the INSO-Lviv Symphony Orchestra, will become an interesting collaboration, an example of a cooperation between different cultural industries.“
