Fashion brand CHARLES JEFFREY LOVERBOY presented their Fall Winter 2022.23 Collection, that explores art of noise with a lookbook captured by fashion photographer Alex Petch. The collection was inspired by music and the work of American cellist Arthur Russell, it features three parts, the three ways music influence the world: The Physical, The Cultural, and The Emotional. The Physical part was informed by cubist artists like Picasso and George Braque, as well as by Claes Oldenburg and his soft sculptures. With literal approach, it references instruments themselves, transposing them onto garments and creating textiles. The Cultural part explores musicians as personalities, especially influenced by New York’s musicians from the late 70s and early 80s. The Emotional part examines the way music makes us feel inside and explores how that could be presented visually. Inspired by Anthony Gormley’s “Feeling Material” drawings, as well as by illusions of Op Art.
