Adidas is definetely ready to move on from YEEZY venture. As we all know, adidas and Ye cut ties after the rapper’s and designer legthy Instagram rants, which caused a major drop in values of the sneakers made by this once popular duo. Sneakerheads are refusing to wear YEEZY’s after rapper’s problematic behavior and controversial comments, causing major resell platforms to remove his products from their sites. While the YEEZY brand is experiencing huge losses in sales and popularity, adidas decided to reportedly roll out the non-Yeezy branded sneakers in 2023.
SNEAKERS
While not much information or images are available just yet, it seems like the only difference in the designs would be the absence of the YEEZY logo. The resurfaced images of the reported design showcase the YEEZY BOOST 350v2 design in Granite, but without the presence of brand’s logo. The rest of the sneaker remains the same, arriving in the usual PrimeKnit material and the “SPLY-350” text running across the upper. The kicks are complete with a BOOST sole. The release of the sneaker is not yet confirmed, though some insider informations state the beginning of the January 2023. The sneakers will reportedly cost $230 USD, and will come out in family sizings. Given that the overall design stays the same, will it attract customers now that it’s not related to Ye?
