KENZO shares the news that VERNON, a member of the K-pop boyband SEVENTEEN, will be serving as the brand’s worldwide ambassador. Under the direction of Artistic Director Nigo, the 25-year-old K-pop sensation will be entering the KENZO world, forming a partnership with a House that has significant ties to the international entertainment landscape.
VERNON will be featured in a variety of advertisements for KENZO, including those for the clothing and shoes product categories. Nigo, the Artistic Director of Kenzo, said in reference to the appointment, “I am pleased and grateful to welcome VERNON into the KENZO family.“
VERNON responded as follows when asked about his thoughts on being a member of the KENZO family: “I feel honored and fortunate to be KENZO’s Global Ambassador. I’m excited to explore the synergy this partnership will introduce and look forward to showcasing a
new side of me to fans around the world.“
At the KENZO women’s and men’s fashion show that will take place on June 23rd, 2023, he will make his first official appearance as a KENZO ambassador, which will take place during Paris Fashion Week.
Hansol Vernon Chwe (???), known for his stage name Vernon, is a Korean-American rapper based in South Korea. Within the boy band SEVENTEEN, which is signed to Pledis Entertainment, Vernon serves as the primary rapper, visual, and face. In addition to that, he is a part of the Rap unit for the group.
Vernon was born in New York on February 18, 1998, but his family relocated to Korea when he was just five years old. At the age of 14, he was discovered by a casting director at a petrol station, which resulted in Pledis Entertainment offering him a position as a trainee.
17 Carat, the mini-album that was released on May 26, 2015, was Vernon’s first appearance with SEVENTEEN. Vernon has more than 6 million followers on Instagram alone.
