Adidas has unveiled its innovative SS24 Melbourne Collection, featuring the AIRCHILL material technology, a first in tennis apparel. This technology, designed to optimize airflow and provide cooling during intense activities, is complemented by HEAT.RDY material to enhance player performance in warm conditions. The collection, consisting of 26 pieces for both men and women, showcases a tranquil color palette inspired by nature, with shades like ‘Green Spark’ reflecting bioluminescence. The range includes unique patterns that emulate natural fractal shapes, aiming to evoke a sense of calm for the wearer.
Stefanos Tsitsipas, an elite tennis player, has commented on the collection, emphasizing the importance of staying composed, especially during major tournaments like the one at the start of the season. The collection, he suggests, aligns with the mentality of maintaining calmness and enjoyment in the game. Hero pieces in the collection include the AIRCHILL Dress Pro and the AERO.RDY Skirt Pro for women, and the AIRCHILL FreeLift T-Shirt Pro for men, among others. These pieces are crafted from 100% recycled materials and cater to a wide range of sizes.
The SS24 Melbourne Collection, premiering at one of the most significant hard-court tournaments, will be worn by renowned athletes including Caroline Wozniacki, Elina Svitolina and Stefanos Tsitsipas. Available from December 1, 2023, the collection can be purchased on adidas.com and through the adidas app.
