The Jean Paul Gaultier Spring/Summer 2024 Haute Couture collection, presented in collaboration with Simone Rocha, debuted at Paris Fashion Week on January 24, 2024. The collection showcased an eclectic mix of colors, materials, and designs, with a range of looks that blended the distinctive aesthetics of both designers. With the total of 36 looks, the collection was a celebration of Jean Paul Gaultier’s stylistic codes — corsets, cone bras, striped jerseys, and sailor hats — now reimagined through Rocha’s vision.
Beside the use of pink and tulle, the collection showcased an array of black outfits, designed geometric suits, and tops embellished with metallic appliqués, complemented by bras adorned with crystal rhinestones and shell-shaped cups. The color scheme was rich and varied, incorporating deep shades of blue and green that added a distinctive touch to balloon sleeves. The models’ lobes were uniquely decorated with braided hair tufts, subtly referencing bridal superstitions, and the transparent plexiglass platform shoes were a tribute to the crystal heels.
