Moncler Grenoble unveiled its Fall/Winter 2024 collection in an event set against the backdrop of a forest in St. Moritz, where guests experienced a unique presentation in nature. This set focus on Moncler Grenoble’s mountaineering roots and what the brand’s line is all about.
Moncler Grenoble stands out within the Moncler family for its close ties to the brand’s original mountaineering spirit and its focus on performance, merged with fashionable design. This collection is tied to Moncler’s history of supporting expeditions and its role as the official supplier for the French national alpine skiing team during the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble.
The collection’s debut at the Clavadatsch lodge had models going through a forest bathed in light, casting tree silhouettes all around and creating a unique atmosphere. The Fall/Winter 2024 collection is all about blending technical innovation with a sophisticated winter style. The color palette is full with soft snow and ice tones, warm earthy hues, and a mix of brand-identifying red, white, and blue. The collection emphasizes subtlety and intricate detail, with technical jackets and sheepskin accents featuring geometric intarsia patterns reminiscent of traditional quilts, and quilting techniques creating Aran knit effects on ski apparel.
Innovative materials and designs are one of the main features of this collection, with unexpected combinations such as shirts transforming into ski jackets and technical fabrics enriched with stitch embroideries. Functional designs, some developed with AI before being refined by human expertise, claim bold volumes and are complemented by a variety of materials. An integral part of the experience was the collection’s approach to sound, with the show’s score delivered through individual headphones, offering guests a personal encounter with the collection.
